FAQ's
We specialise in high-pressure die casting of aluminium and zinc alloys, providing high quality castings for a variety of uses.
Yes — we have in-house tooling design and manufacturing capabilities so we can handle everything from new tool creation to refurbishment of existing tooling. We also have capability to outsource our tooling manufacture and agree with our customer which approach is best for each individual job.
Absolutely. In addition to die-casting we provide value-added services including CNC machining, finishing, coating, etc meaning we can provide not only assembly ready parts but retail ready parts where we assemble, test and package products ready for the shop shelf.
We understand speed is imperative and we focus on providing rapid results. Variables such as: part complexity, tooling status (new tool or existing), finishes required, and production volume will impact lead times. In previous situations where there has been an existing die we have been able to start producing parts the day the die/mould has been delivered to us. Your best option is contact us and we will be able to give you a better idea of lead times.
Yes — we provide DFM/DFA support to optimise your design for castability, cost-effectiveness and performance. Early engagement helps reduce scrap, minimise tooling changes and improve delivery reliability.
We are ISO9001:2015 certified. Our quality management system is ingrained into our business and we have previously invested in new, non standard quality equipment for our customers unique requirements.
Our facility is located in the West Midlands, UK, and we serve customers throughout the UK and internationally. We manage logistics and packaging for export, so ask about your destination and packaging requirments.
We have the capability to refurb existing tools as well as make new ones. Each job is unique, we can provide an existing tooling report as well as design and quote a new tool and let our customer decide. We help the customer decide by considering expected part quantity, current tool condition, importance of uninterrupted supply chain, importance of quality and efficiencies gained by the new tool etc.
While die casting is often associated with high volumes, we can support new projects with competitive tooling and costings. Whether it’s a moderate volume niche production run or large high-volume series, talk to us about your quantity so we can tailor our offer.
To provide an accurate quote we typically ask for:
- Part drawing or CAD (2D/3D)
- Material specification (aluminium or zinc alloy)
- Estimated annual volume or production run
- Finishing/secondary operations required (machining, plating, painting)
- Whether tooling already exists or needs to be built/refurbished
Once we have these we can lay out tooling cost, casting cost, machining/finishing cost, and expected lead-time.
Across Aluminium and Zinc our machine range from 20 Ton to 800 Ton. We have previously installed larger machines as per our customers specifications and have ample space to build purpose cells for our customers. See our Aluminium and Zinc diecasting page for more
